clickSomo

How it compares

Where ClickSomo sits,said honestly.

Mailchimp, Brevo, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo and e-clicks.pro are all established marketing automation platforms with real customers and real strengths. We are not going to tell you what they do or do not do — their own documentation is a better source than a rival's website, and a comparison table written by one party is a marketing artefact rather than research.

What this page is instead.

Eight things that are true about ClickSomo, stated plainly enough that you can check each one against whatever you are using today. Some of them will turn out not to matter to you at all. That is a perfectly good outcome for an evaluation, and a much faster one than a feature grid.

If you are already happy, stay. Moving a working list is a real cost, and no tool in this category is worth an afternoon of your time on the strength of a website.

Four channels,
including something printed.

E-mail, SMS and push are common enough. A printed letter as an ordinary node in the same sequence, subject to the same waits and the same goal check, is not. If part of your audience does not read e-mail — and for a lot of real businesses a meaningful part does not — that is the difference between reaching them and writing them off.

Check this against your tool: can a single automation send an SMS on day one and post a physical card on day thirty, without exporting a CSV to somebody else?

Consent is a ledger with a lawful basis.

One row per contact per channel: the state, the basis you are relying on, where it came from, the evidence and when. A CSV import can never land as consent, and a contact with no basis row cannot be mailed at all, because absence is not permission. Before a campaign goes out you see the basis mix of its audience.

Check this against your tool: pick a contact at random and ask it where that address came from and on what basis you may write to them. If the answer is a tick-box, or a list name, you have a record of a decision but not of its justification.

Editing a live automation cannot disturb people in flight.

A wait is a wake-up time on a run, not a queue of pre-written messages. Publishing writes an immutable version and every run walks the version it entered on. You can rewrite Thursday's message with four thousand people mid-sequence and nothing re-plans, re-sends or vanishes.

Check this against your tool: its documentation will usually tell you, in a support article with a slightly nervous tone, what happens to contacts already in an automation when you edit it. That article is the most informative page on any marketing platform's website.

Reports separate people from machines,
and say so.

Apple Mail Privacy Protection opens every image; Outlook SafeLinks clicks every link. ClickSomo stores the raw events, reports the filtered numbers, and labels which is which so you can see both. Your open rate will look lower here. It always was this number.

Check this against your tool: does its open rate distinguish machine opens? If it does not say, it does not, and every A/B test you have run since 2021 has been partly a coin toss.

Bring your own sending,
with no bundled markup.

ClickSomo runs no mail server. You connect your own SMTP mailbox or a provider you already pay for, and you pay nothing towards delivery here because there is nothing to pay for. Your sending reputation is yours alone and is not pooled with strangers' campaigns.

Check this against your tool: what does a send actually cost, and whose reputation is it leaving on? A platform that sends on shared infrastructure is one careless customer away from your mail being treated worse than it deserves — which is a real risk on any shared sender, ours included, and is the reason we do not run one.

An MCP server, with a dry run.

Agents can operate ClickSomo directly: read contacts, author funnels, patch creatives, pull reports. The tool that makes it usable rather than alarming is simulate_funnel, which walks a contact through a funnel and returns what would be sent. Every send-capable tool requires an explicit confirmation and is capped by your quota.

Check this against your tool: can an assistant you already use build and check an automation for you without a human copying things between two windows?

API first, with no private endpoints.

Every screen is buildable from the public API, because there is no other kind. OpenAPI at /docs, cursor pagination, idempotency keys on every mutating route, signed webhooks out, and your own application's events in as first-class triggers.

Check this against your tool: open its browser developer tools while using its own interface, and see whether the requests it makes are ones you are allowed to make.

Part of a family, on one account.

Sending, SMS, push, payments and booking are shared castomo services. Sign-in is the one account you use across the family, campaign tiles land in the dash-b dashboard designer, and an erasure request reaches every service that held a copy through one lane.

Check this against your tool: honestly, this one only matters if you are likely to use more than one of them. If you are not, ignore it — it is an advantage of the family, not of the product.

Where ClickSomo is the weaker choice.

It is worth being specific, because a page that claims to win everywhere is not telling you anything.

If you want somebody else to own deliverability, a platform that sends on its own infrastructure and warms its own IP pools is doing real work you would otherwise do yourself. Bringing your own sending means configuring a mailbox, adding DNS records and owning the outcome. That is a genuine trade and for some people it is the wrong side of it.

If you need a template gallery with four hundred designs in it, you will find this sparse. The creative editor is built to produce a good e-mail and a real landing page, not to compete on catalogue size.

If you need a CRM, this is not one. It holds a mailing list and what that list did, not your pipeline, your deals or your invoices.

If your team is large and highly specialised, some of the enterprise furniture — elaborate approval chains, granular per-seat permissions, a dedicated success manager — is not here.

And the one that decides most evaluations: if what you actually need is "send this newsletter to these people on Thursday", every tool in this category does that competently, including this one. Nothing on this page is worth switching for. Come back when the thing you need is a sequence that must stop when somebody buys, a consent record you could defend, or a report that survives being questioned.

Tell us what you use
and what annoys you about it.

We will tell you honestly whether moving is worth your time. Sometimes the answer is no, and that is a shorter conversation than a trial.
